Lynn Fletcher
President and Creative DirectorLynn has experience as a wedding planner in Calgary and the Bow Valley for over 15 years and with hundreds of weddings to her credit, Lynn Fletcher is a leader in her field always striving to express love in different ways. She has the experience and creativity to ensure your wedding day perfectly suits you. She has been recognized on teams that have won international awards for Best Wedding in the world three times and takes great pride in never repeating the same wedding style twice. This is YOUR day, planned just for you.
Stephanie Schmit
Wedding ProducerStephanie joined Lynn Fletcher Weddings bringing with her years of experience in the Calgary bridal industry. Her path began focusing on the fashion side of the industry. Internationally trained in bridal fashion, trends, and etiquette, it wasn’t long before Stephanie knew she wanted to apply her knowledge and exposure of the couture bridal industry in a more intimate way. Inspired by the many New York designer runway shows she attended, she began choreographing fashion shows, including Calgary’s well known Wedding Fair. She soon discovered her true passion was in the planning, creating, designing and executing of stunning and unique weddings. Stephanie’s confident can-do attitude, ability to multitask, and professionalism is matched by her genuine interest in the bride and groom. She is invested in recognizing what is truly important to the couple, making their vision a reality on the most memorable day of their lives.
How We Work
It all starts with listening. Then with the boundless enthusiasm of true romantics, we get to know each couple, ensuring that their day is a true reflection of who they are. We have an intuitive instinct for seeing and understanding the needs and desires of our brides and grooms, even when they sometimes do not know themselves. It often is difficult to tell who is more excited about the wedding — the LFW team or our clients. We truly are invested in helping you create YOUR vision for day with no stress, lots of fun, and most of all, a team who genuinely cares about making it a unique personalized experience for you.
Industry Leaders
The entire LFW team plays an active role in the event industry attending international training conferences and wedding shows worldwide to ensure that they stay on top of the latest trends and best ideas in the industry. LFW has memberships with ISES Calgary, the Calgary Bridal Association, and the Association of Bridal Consultants. As the Past-President of the award winning Calgary Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES), Lynn takes on a leadership role in her community focusing on raising the bar for her colleagues and bringing valuable education to Calgary from all over the world. As an Advisory Board Member of the Calgary Bridal Association, Lynn is continually involved in developing ways to connect her colleagues together and support the newcomers to the industry by offering them a place to network and learn. Lynn is also an instructor in Mount Royal University’s Event Management Certificate Program delivering The Business of Wedding Planning and Event Logistics courses. As an enthusiastic member of the curriculum development team and a proud recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award in 2010, she takes great pride in forging paths for the up and coming professionals of the Event Industry as a whole. National appointments include Canadian President of the Wish Upon a Wedding Foundation and the ISES Calgary Liason for ISES Canada. International board positions include serving on the ISES 2011 Eventworld Décor Committee and the ISES Esprit Award judging panel for the last three years. Her wealth of knowledge is priceless and the LFW clients have an all access pass!
