A publication that regularly gets passed around the office, we eagerly await the next issue to see what Lisa Hurley has thought up, and to catch up-to-date on the happenings in our industry. We are loving the CTV Morning Live “Wedding Week” segments! Each day a different leader- in- their- field is coming by the studio and talking about the wonderful world of weddings. It’s a great way to learn what is up and coming, and since it airs each day just after 8:00 am,  you can watch it while you are eating breakfast, or take a page from the LFW book and all crowd around a computer during your coffee break!

Our very own Lynn Fletcher was in the studio bright and early on Monday morning discuss decor trends, Justin Catt from Spence Diamonds started the morning off on the right foot with engagement ring designs. CTV Morning Live has just announced that tomorrow they will have Wendy Belanger from Hair Influence Salon showing different hair styles and up-dos! We will be tuning in every day. Will you?

The Bride’s goal was to incorporate her favorite COLORS: Bling and Leopard! Yes, Bling and Leopard are colours! LFW led an army of vendors and venue staff in a charge that was timed to the minute. A meticulous communication web and an empowered team of professionals were the key to the execution of a design that had a seemingly impossible production time limit. The result: 2 leopard print walls, a floating Chuppah, 3 distinct table designs, a 40 minute room decor flip, 3 entertainment acts, hundreds of candles, a 7 foot tall cake, and thousands of rhinestones. The Groom was just happy to be married.

We are nominated for Best Wedding Under $75 000 –  “Beautiful Things”. When the ideal venue did not exist, it was created from the ground up in a theatre. A giant cherry blossom tree for the ceremony was constructed on the stage and the theatre’s lighting was just the touch to bring it to life. Whimsical vintage touches such as lemonade signature cocktails, candy floss, and a good game was scrabble reflected the Bride and Groom’s personalities. After the first caterer went out of business and the contracted limo company did not honor their deal, perfect vendors were hired to do the job. The result was a match made in Heaven.

Pink-Bling Beer Pong!

No Christmas party is complete without Santa visiting, so he popped by midway through the festivities handing out (obviously) pink candy canes and posing for photos.

It was such a nice way to end the wedding season and get to spend some quality (non-working) time with our extended LFW family. We could not be more grateful for the ongoing support and love from these people.

Here’s to another great year! We have big plans and BIG changes coming down the road and look forward to 2013 with a vengeance.

Glittery Silver & Pale Pink LFW Tree

At LFW we couldn’t be more excited for the most festive time of year to finally be here. We have hastily put away all of our Halloween decorations (except for a small bowl of candy in our board room) and have fully embraced the oncoming holidays.

Bedazzled Branches!

We have carols (well the Mariah Carey Christmas CD) playing in the office and our tree is up, but that’s about as traditional as it gets around here. In true LFW fashion, our tree is jet black and ornaments are color coordinated with our brand. Pink, bling, and silver are the new green and red. Yes folks, bling is actually a color in our glittery world!
