This wedding embodied this quote in a way that few weddings ever have. Guests travelled from all over the world, crossed border after border, to witness this couple say “I do”. All of the vendors worked tirelessly over the course of two days to bring this dream wedding to life for our couple from a 200ft floral installation on the water tower, to an LED light installation, to a Ukrainian dance troupe. This one was a dream for us and we could not be more in love with our couple and the team it took to produce this wedding.

Every wedding starts with a couple in love… And these gentlemen were not only in love, when they started dating, same sex marriage was not at all legally recognized.

They waited almost 20 years to be married. This award is totally for them and because of them. We honour their commitment to each other!

It started in 2019, was postponed THREE times, redesigned THREE times, and by the time 2022 rolled around, it was absolutely worth waiting for.

It takes a village to do any event, this one had a CITY of the most amazing and LONG list of vendors (see credits below). Thank you for diving in wholeheartedly with us on this one. Your passion for excellence is what made this wedding one that will live with our souls forever. The LFW team shares this award with you amazing humans.

And last but not least, LFW has some of the most bad ass wedding planners and support team gals around. Thank you to our entire LFW family for all helping to make this wedding a reality. Special shout outs to @___amymiller19 who started planning and designing this one with me back in 2019… and to @bcappelle for nailing the heavy lifting and bringing it across the finish line. The finale of S&K’s wedding week was the reception held at the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs in the Cascade Ballroom. Cocktails flowed in the Riverview Lounge while their favourite singer from LA entertained their guests.

The fashion was off the charts and the view could not be beaten.

Entering into the reception was a transformative experience for guests. Hundreds of candles, rich shades of crimson and cherry with touches of white and gold filled the room with a luxurious, modern sophistication.

We had so much fun designing this celebration and were giddy with excitement as we watched guests (not to mention our lovely clients) see the space for the first time. A memory we hold so dear and will never forget.

Early in the morning the precious ceremony was held on the shores of Lake Louise with a stunning vista to take your breath away.

Custom fabricated decor pieces from India and a decor installation team from heaven made this event spectacular!

The Groom arrived on a white horse in a Baraat that rivaled every other one we have done. The double ceremony was emotional, meaningful, and so very special as it blended the Brides Hindu traditions to the Grooms Christian faith. The Pandit and Pastor are now good buddies!
